Archiving, Preservation, and Indexing
The Philippine Journal of Development (PJD) is committed to the long-term preservation, accessibility, and discoverability of its content. Our comprehensive framework ensures the enduring availability of research published in the journal.
Digital Archiving and Preservation
-
All journal articles and metadata are securely hosted on high-availability servers managed by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS). These servers also support the Socioeconomic Research Portal for the Philippines (SERP-P), providing additional reliability and institutional backup.
-
Each published article is registered with Crossref and assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), guaranteeing permanent access to the Version of Record.
-
Regular, scheduled backups are performed to protect content from data loss. Local redundancy ensures that multiple copies of the journal’s archives are maintained, safeguarding data integrity and supporting recovery.
-
PJD continually assesses and updates its preservation strategies, including consideration of participation in national and international archiving initiatives, to meet evolving best practices for digital preservation.
Indexing and Discoverability

Open Access Policy
All articles are freely available to readers worldwide. Permanent links and DOIs are provided for all content, in line with the journal’s open access commitment.
Print Legacy Preservation
Copies of printed issues are preserved in the institutional archives of PIDS and may also be available in select national or university libraries.
