Revenue Source

The operations of the Philippine Journal of Development (PJD) are funded by the government, as the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS)—the publisher—is a government think tank.

No author submission fees or article processing charges are levied at any stage. Print subscription fees solely cover the costs of printing and distribution. All online journal content is permanently open access under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) license.

    • USD 60 per issue (international)
  • Online Access:
    Free and open access under Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial (CC BY-NC).

Authors’ Fee

  • Submission Fee: None
  • Article Processing Charge: None

PJD does not charge authors at any stage of submission, peer review, or publication. Editorial decisions are based entirely on scholarly merit, methodological rigor, and policy relevance, and are entirely independent of financial considerations.

Advertising Policy 

The Journal does not accept advertisements, sponsorships, or commercial funding and maintains full editorial independence. All marketing communications are factual, consent-based, and include opt-out options. Personal information is never shared with third parties. 
 

Direct Marketing Statement 

PJD may disseminate the following information through official PIDS media platforms and communication channels: 

  • Calls for papers 
  • Publication announcements 
  • Subscription updates for printed copies 

Marketing communications: 

  • Are sent only to individuals who have provided consent  

  • Are factual and nonmisleading 

  • Include clear opt-out mechanisms 

The Philippine Journal of Development (PJD) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS). It serves as a platform for disseminating policy-oriented research on development issues, including the economy, business, public administration, foreign relations, sociology, and political dynamics. The PJD is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.
