Publication Ethics and Malpractice

The Philippine Journal of Development upholds high ethical standards in scholarly publishing and adheres to the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work, providing proper citations, and disclosing any potential conflicts of interest. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, data fabrication, or other forms of research misconduct will be immediately rejected.

Reviewers are expected to provide objective and constructive feedback while maintaining the confidentiality of the review process. They must disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect their ability to provide an impartial evaluation. Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair review process, maintaining the integrity of published research, and addressing any ethical concerns that arise during the evaluation of manuscripts.

The Philippine Journal of Development (PJD) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS). It serves as a platform for disseminating policy-oriented research on development issues, including the economy, business, public administration, foreign relations, sociology, and political dynamics.
