The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) maintains https://pjd.pids.gov.ph, a dedicated journal portal that hosts peer-reviewed articles on development issues in the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region.
The PIDS respects and protects the privacy of those who visit this website, and those who submit inquiries or requests, in accordance with Republic Act 10173, or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.
Personal Information
Your personal information may be supplied by you or collected from you as a result of your access to or use of the PJD website for downloading copies of journal articles. PIDS collects personal information from visitors who will be downloading copies of the articles through the website’s online publication download survey form.
We also collect the following personal information from you when you manually (via phone call or walk-in) or electronically (via email or online form) submit to us your inquiries or requests.

- - Company/affiliation
Use, Storage, and Retention
The information we collect will be used solely for the purpose of generating statistical data specific to publication downloads, and for documenting and processing your queries or requests.
Only authorized PIDS personnel has access to your personal information. The collected information will be stored in PIDS’ server and/or storage center and will be retained only for such period as necessary to achieve the declared purpose for its collection. Thereafter, it shall be disposed in a secure manner that would prevent further processing, unauthorized access, or disclosure to any other party.
Website Analytics
PIDS also uses third-party services Webalizer Statistics and Google Analytics to analyze the web traffic. It gathers nonpersonal information from the browser whenever the site is visited. These are reported as aggregated data that in no way will identify an individual. Only non-identifiable web traffic data are analyzed, including:
