Peer Review Process

The Philippine Journal of Development

The PJD follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the integrity and objectivity of its published articles.

  1. Editorial Screening – All submissions undergo an initial review to check for originality, relevance, and adherence to journal guidelines.
  2. Double-Blind Peer Review – Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field. The review process typically takes two months.
  3. Decision and Revision – Based on reviewers’ feedback, the manuscript may be accepted, revised, or rejected. Authors are given a timeframe to submit revisions.
  4. Final Approval – Once revisions are completed, the Editorial and Production Team conducts a final evaluation with authors before publication.

The Philippine Journal of Development (PJD) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS). It serves as a platform for disseminating policy-oriented research on development issues, including the economy, business, public administration, foreign relations, sociology, and political dynamics.
