Open Access and Copyright Policy

The Philippine Journal of Development (PJD) follows an open-access model, which allows unrestricted online access to its published articles. This policy supports knowledge-sharing, academic collaboration, and evidence-based policymaking by ensuring that research findings are available to a wide audience. The journal’s open-access policy aligns with global efforts to make research more accessible and to enhance its impact on both academic and policy discussions.

Authors retain full copyright over their published work while granting the PJD a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute their articles under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This licensing framework permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that proper attribution is given to the original authors.

The Philippine Journal of Development (PJD) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS). It serves as a platform for disseminating policy-oriented research on development issues, including the economy, business, public administration, foreign relations, sociology, and political dynamics.
