Abstract

In her final note for the PJD 2009 second semester issue, Ms. Jennifer Liguton bids farewell as the Philippine Journal of Development`s (PJD) managing editor. Ms. Liguton has served as its managing editor for the past three decades of the Journal`s publication. She has been involved from its conception, helped nurture it, and seen it grow and metamorphosed into being a vehicle for scholarly articles that reflect thinking on issues and contributions for policy that sometimes go beyond the Philippine horizon. She has endeavored to ensure the continuing high quality of the articles, the diversity of subject areas, and the relevance of the issues tackled amid the challenges of a fast-changing world. In this note, she also introduces the new managing editor of the PJD, Dr. Josef Yap, currently the president of the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS).
