Intellectual Property and Biotechnology

Abstract

The advent of new techniques in genetic manipulation has sparked discussions in IPR involving biological products and processes. This article, which has been presented during the DOST-PIDS Seminar-Discussion on “Intellectual Property Rights: Policy Issues and Perspectives” on December 13, 1991, presents the developments in this arena. Action plan is suggested.
